I Love P.M.S.!

When we work, we work.  When we pray, God works.

Praying Mereas Sisterhood

What is a Merea?

The Hebrew word Merea describes who we are as Sisters in the family of the LORD (nurturers of one another) as well as lending insight as to what our role is in the Body of the Messiah.  Merea means ‘trusted friend and companion'. Merea is taken from the root word ra'ah meaning 'to tend a flock, nurture, and feed'.

Additionally, a healthy mishpachah (family) cares for, tends and nurtures one another into ‘good and Godly choices’.  Without the love, prayers, guidance, wisdom, and admonition (Greek nouthesia - to put into ones’ mind) of a Godly Merea encouraging us to ‘choose God's BEST’, we often lack the motivation to make right choices in life.

Receiving ‘mereaship’ into one’s life, then, is to experience wisdom without pain.  And no one can fulfill both the duties and delights of a ‘Merea’ without building healthy, vibrant and trustworthy relationships with other women for the sole purpose of 'not blaspheming and exposing the Word of God to reproach of any sort' (Titus 2:5).

What are the Benefits of Intercessory Prayer?

The ministry of intercessory prayer is a life-giving source and force in union with the Messiah.  Prayer is the last discipline mentioned of the FOUR DISCIPLINES  of DEVOTION that the early talmidim (disciples) steadfastly devoted themselves to as a community in service to the LORD and to one another (Acts 2:42-47).

They CONTINUED FAITHFULLY (Devotedly Persevered) in:

1.) Teaching of the emissaries - A DILIGENT STUDY OF HIS WORD

2.) Fellowship - A DETERMINED & ACTIVE LOVE OF HIS CHILDREN

3.) Breaking of bread - A DAILY REMEMBRANCE OF HIS SACRIFICE

4.) Prayers - A DEVOTED ABIDING IN HIS PRESENCE

Why I Love P.M.S.!

This is a safe place for you to share your praises, requests and encourage one another in the LORD.  Even Paul, bound in chains, was increasingly confident and comforted by the prayers of the faithful saints as he proclaimed, "Yes, and I will continue to rejoice for I know that this will work out for my deliverance, because of your prayers and the support I get from the Spirit of Yeshua the Messiah." (Philippians 1:18,19)

In the book of Job, it is recorded that "the LORD restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends" (Job 42:10).

What moves the heart of God ought to move our Mereas' hearts as well...people.   As we consider the lives of others, let us join ourselves in steadfast prayer for one another and thus welcome the opportunity to come once again to the Throne room of our Great God through His Son Yeshua, the Messiah.

Sha'alu Shalom Yerushalayim! (Pray for the Peace of Jersusalem)

Please leave your praises, requests and/or words of encouragement here for all to intercede; Or feel free to email me directly.

I welcome the opportunity to speak your names before the Father!

Faithfully Interceding...

Your Merea, Carmen!

Prayer for Amy and Seth

- Amy is five months pregnant and was told today that baby boy has a life-threatening heart defect. He is fine while in utero because Mommy's heart is helping him, but upon delivery, outside of a miracle, things do not look good.

Please join me in prayer for our LORD to make baby's heart whole, without defect for the glory of His Name. And please pray for shalom of our Healer and Deliverer Jesus to wash over parents and family as we intercede for this precious baby.

Blessed be the Name of the LORD!

AMY AND SETH UPDATE:

They were informed today that baby Logan has the worst form of Shone's Disease. As you can imagine, they were given no hope of his survival after birth.

Please intercede that the LORD guide Amy and Seth with His glorious Strength, Shalom and Wisdom in the coming hours, days and months.

Urgent Prayer Request from our school's Admissions Officer, Delana:

One of our moms, Tammy Casanova, has been very, seriously ill over the summer. She has 4 small children, two boys in 2nd and 3rd grade and 2 little ones at home. She is undergoing extensive testing today and is very, very terrified. Please pray for her and her family.

Thank you so much for your prayers, I know that they are very powerful.

After praying for each of the prayer requests I would love to see how our Lord is working in each of these situations. If there is can someone please post an update (if it isn't too personal). That way I pray for any new prayer requests for these brothers and sisters in Christ since it's been awhile and so that my mind will be at ease about them as well. The situations just break my heart...

Hello again!

Here is Amy & Seth's blog for Baby Logan updates:
http://ourmiracelogan.blogspot.com/

thank you for all your prayers...

But as for me, Heaven forbid that I should boast about anything except the execution-stake of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! Through Him, as far as I am concerned, the world has been put to death on the stake; and through Him, as far as the world is concerned, I have been put to death on the stake.  For neither being circumcised nor being uncircumcised matters; what matters is being a NEW CREATION. And as many as order their lives by this rule, shalom upon them and mercy, and upon the Isra'el of God!
