Needing a Change?

From a distance ADONAI appeared to me, [saying,] "I love you with an everlasting love; this is why in My grace I draw you to Me. ~ Jeremiah 31:3

When my daughter Kierstyn was still in diapers just a few short years ago, she had a most peculiar way of letting me know she had taken care of her business.

She was in the habit of pushing me away from her every time she had ‘gone potty’ - that would be No. 2! Moms, you know the look and you are familiar with ‘all things poopy’, I am sure. (You might be interested to know that I had to add 'poopy' to my spell check.)

The Fulfilled Woman at The Cafe

Yeshua HaMashiach said that He came that we might have ABUNDANT LIFE (John 10:10).   HIS Execution Stake (The Cross) made a way for us to receive inner joy, peace, and contentment in our life’s journey.

In the glorious blessing of our salvation, Yeshua has given us THREE KINGDOM KEYS that we may unlock the doors of Favor and Blessing in our lives:

1.) KEY OF WISDOM (TO GUIDE US) - THE WORD OF GOD

2.) KEY OF POWER (TO INVIGORATE US) - THE SPIRIT OF GOD

3.) KEY OF LOVE (TO CHANGE US) - THE PURPOSE OF GOD

The journey to being The Fulfilled Woman is not far.  It’s much closer than you may think!

Mimhtai Mou!

μιμηταί μου γίνεσθε, καθὼς κἀγὼ Χριστοῦ.

You say, ‘That's Greek to me!’  Yes, friends, it is.

Translation:

“Be an imitator of me just as I am an imitator of Christ.”

Mimetes means to imitate, to follow.  The root word means ‘to mimic’...

A Bug's Life

Four things on the earth are small; nevertheless, they are very wise -the ants, a species not strong, yet they store up their food in the summer;the coneys, a species with little power, yet they make their home in the rocks;the locusts, who have no king, yet they all march out in ranks;and the spiders, which you can catch in your hand, yet they are in the king's palace.
~ Proverbs 30:24-28

What immeasurably rich insight there is in the Word of God.  Contained within these few verses lies a deep and a practical wisdom as recorded by Agur.

How can our daily lives benefit from the practices of these four small creatures?

Let’s see...

L.A.W. Fulfilled in the Christmas Presence

Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”

~ Matthew 5:17-18

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we kept before us the Christmas Presence always....if we were aware at all times of this Glorious Presence that goes before us?

Yes, this play on words evokes for me a glorious image of the Undeserved Presence we are blessed with everyday of the year.

And in return, our gift to Him for His year-long Presence would be to beautify our own presence in this sin-stained world by loving others as He loves us.  Sanctified, Baby!

Isn't it quite comical (uh, er...rather sheepish) that when we get wrapped up in ourselves, worry and pride move in to destroy us?  Yet, when we wake up each morning with the intent to WRAP OURSELVES IN THE CHRISTMAS PRESENCE, our adornment is truly becoming of Whose we are...and shalom and humility adorn us!

As we say in the South, 'Now, that's perrrty!'

Morning and Night

It is good to give thanks to ADONAI and sing praises to Your Name ‘Elyon (Most High), to tell in the morning about Your grace and at night about Your faithfulness...For ADONAI, what You do makes me happy; I take joy in what Your hands have made. ~ Psalm 92:1,2,4

Have you ever become so lost in the thought of God's Word that HE unveiled beautiful truths amidst ordinary moments? I love when HE touches our lives with HIS glorious interruptions!

It is most necessary in this life, isn't it?... Receiving a touch from the LORD Himself?

One morning after a rich time in God's Word, I was met with such a touch. I walked outside with Psalm 92 weighing heavily upon my heart.

My backyard looked different to me somehow. It couldn't have changed that much since last night, right? I took in all the beauty of the flowers and their scents with great delight. I breathed in deeply the crisp air that early mornings offer, and felt a satisfaction that took me by surprise.

As I began to reflect on the above verse, I was reminded how King David had prepared for his beloved son Solomon’s future kingship; as well as the planning of the magnificent Temple that would be built not by his own hands, but by his son's.

Grace Was Here!

Then the One seated on the throne said “Look! I AM making everything new!”
Revelation 21:5

Think back to when you were little. Remember the smell of early summer mornings flowing through the screen door?

I can remember being at a friend’s home one such day.

Just beyond their home was a field of lovely wild flowers. I still remember their mixed fragrances whisking through the open windows. I can still see the soft white sheer panels billowing in their living room. Their home was always so tidy. I can smell the Pine-Sol her mother used on her kitchen floors and the smell of freshly folded towels. Their home was so welcoming. They were always ready to receive visitors....

H.U.G.S.!

More than anything, keep loving each other actively;
because love covers many sins.
~ 1 Peter 4:8

Have you figured out yet that this life is all about relationships? The Relationship Expert Himself wrote an entire Book about this matter of relationships. The First Four Words of The Ten (Commandments) He gave us had to do with relating to Him…and the Last Six Words had to do with relating to everyone else!

What I’m trying to say, folks, is that it matters to our LORD how we deal with one another…yes, even ‘Sister Scouring Pad’ (the one known for her abrasive qualities). Did you know that our (horizontal) relationships are the TELLING FRUIT of our most vital (vertical) relationship to the Father...the ROOT? We are able to know the true condition of how our Heavenly Father views our relationship with Himself simply by examining our relationships with the 'one anothers' in our lives.

Follow me to the Internet Cafe for the REST of the story...

But as for me, Heaven forbid that I should boast about anything except the execution-stake of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! Through Him, as far as I am concerned, the world has been put to death on the stake; and through Him, as far as the world is concerned, I have been put to death on the stake.  For neither being circumcised nor being uncircumcised matters; what matters is being a NEW CREATION. And as many as order their lives by this rule, shalom upon them and mercy, and upon the Isra'el of God!
