Submission = Strength Under Yeshua?

Does the whole ‘submissive to husband’ passage get under your your last nerve, Woman?  Have you considered as to why it might?

1 Peter 3:1 - NAS – In the same way you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the Word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,

‘Submissive to husband’ is quite a good thing.  Let’s look at why.  It’s necessary because there is such an ENORMITY of POWER within a woman, wife (ishah/ezer kenegdo) [Genesis 2:18, Genesis 2:23].

Let’s go back to the First Lady.   It was IN that power first realized within Chavvah (Eve) in the Garden of Eden that she emoted herself above God HIMSELF when nachash (serpent) came to tempt her (Genesis 3:1).  We women are graciously given a command to ‘submit to Ish’ BECAUSE it’s a working of ADONAI’s Divine grace to keep us from exalting ourselves IN THAT INNATE POWER that is HIS Power within each woman created in His Holy Image.  Understand?

We mistake HIS POWER for our own many times, and therefore ‘submission quells manipulation’ (remember ‘teshuqah’ of Genesis 3:16 - see Ezer Kenegdo).  Again, it’s a GRACIOUS COMMAND to help keep Ishah in the WILL OF ADONAI ELOHEINU, The GREAT Power.  Why?  Because HE has sent us on mission in this present world.

Besides all this, did not GOD HIMSELF come humbly as a SERVANT?  Why, yes HE did.  And since such is True, we WOMEN are never more like YESHUA than when we operate in compassion, lowliness and subservience to another (Ish/Husband or someone else) THAT THE WILL OF GOD MAY BE MANIFEST.

"If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”~ Yeshua (Mark 9:35)

What will you do with tHIS Power?  Whose Image?  Your own little ‘i’...or HIS MAGNIFICENT ‘I’ image?  ‘Submission to husbands’ bothers us simply because ‘submission to ANYONE’ in general bothers us (in the flesh).  Think rogue ezer kenegdo.

It’s been said that meekness/humility (which is YESHUA) is great strength under control.  Who might this describe?  ADONAI, may it describe us, Ishah!  Then our husbands (or future spouses) will be able to sing wholeheartedly Eshet Chayil (Proverbs 31) over us...and it will be stunningly beautiful.  Yachad.  Thank You ADONAI ELOHEINU for changing us, your daughters on mission in this present world!!

Share some Torah (Instruction) on humility/meekness/being humble.

Such hope and identity in this blog Carmen! I think the beauty in it is that, this is who we are at our core and the rebellion to this is who we have become in light of the fall. Meaning that God has equipped us with all we need to carry this out upon creation and it is simply the holy spirits job to aid us into obedience of what we already possess. Grateful for hope this morning!

But as for me, Heaven forbid that I should boast about anything except the execution-stake of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! Through Him, as far as I am concerned, the world has been put to death on the stake; and through Him, as far as the world is concerned, I have been put to death on the stake.  For neither being circumcised nor being uncircumcised matters; what matters is being a NEW CREATION. And as many as order their lives by this rule, shalom upon them and mercy, and upon the Isra'el of God!
